Clarice

Someone could start a grocery store blog and would likely have lots of things to say.

Some of what you descibe is universal - what irks me the most are the cars parked along the curb as if they are celebrities and can't be bothered with being considerate. This happens outside of Columbia.

Yesterday I had a really good checker. He was paying attention to what he was doing and saved me >$15 by asking a simple question.

But the cell phone thing - I think I'd have to say something to the company offices about that.

Young at Heart

I'm surprised. I have never seen a checker on a cell phone at Food Lion. And for the most part I have found the staff to be polite and helpful. I just wish their food selection was better.
