Yesterday I spoke about a very possible referendum on a same-sex marriage bill that will likely pass and be enacted in 2012. As I mentioned yesterday, the DREAM Act (aka the in-state tuition for illegal immigrants bill) will be going to referendum in 2012. Here is the article in the Gazette about it, written by none other than Patuxent Publishing alumna Sarah Brietenbach.
I don't have a strong opinion on this one way or the other. I would like to know instead, what do you, the 53 Beers reading public, think about this legislation and the coming referendum!

I'll vote against it. I'm a liberal leftie, and I think we should relax immigration laws, but the DREAM act is ridiculous. It's not even that helpful: What proportion of Maryland's kids actually fit the strict requirements anyway?
