So it looks as if Howard County's on the verge of becomong the third jurisdiction on the state to prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identy. A report on last night's Council hearing where the legislation was heard can be found here.
Unfortunately I couldn't attend the hearing or even watch it on TV-- family stuff and other obligations got in the way-- but I am glad to hear that the proponents of this legislation greatly outnumbered the opponents. That's great stuff.
The Council is scheduled to vote on the bill on December 5.
