Hey there, remember that guy on the School Board who the other Board members (well, most of them) wanted to kick off? Think his name is Allen Dyer?
Well, don't look now, but his administrative law hearing, if memory and my research serves, is supposed to resume today.
Does this mean that a resolution to our countywide nightmare is near? Hopefully!
It's a double topic post today in tribute to HoCoRising. And HCR Guy has done himself and the entire blogosphere proud this week. Over just short of two days, he has raised well over $2500 online to provide a security deposit for a second Living in Recovery home in Howard County. Not only does this effort support the homeless problem, but many homeless folks in Howard County suffer from other problems-- drug (including alcohol) addiction, other health issues, etc.
Having a place to live simply makes life better. Easier. Amazing that I'm writing this on June 28, 2012, in Howard County, Maryland-- but I am.
Tom totally rocks for doing this and as I have said before, he's one of the few bloggers who write on community stuff in this burg who backs up his views with activism. There was another guy, but his activism's been a bit in hibernation lately! ; ) And there's Sarah Husain.
Bravo and a triple huzzah to you, sir! I was happy to give the first time but my lazy arse was too slow this time. Nevertheless, your wonderful reputation in this county is growing by leaps and bounds! Now, don't go mess it up by running for political office. Well, except if you were running to replace Bobo. I'd be all over that.
