It's official, and I gotta tell ya, true believers, it feels really good. Here is a recent post by Automatic Ann to the illuminati of howardpubliced:
"Sadly, Chris, Jack is not the only person here who is abusive of others. Frankly, I'm fearful of posting because I have seen my comments twisted and ridiculed in blogs.
Bob, how on earth can you accuse Jack of doing things you do. Maybe you don't post as often but some of your posts have been pretty nasty.
Let us all try to play nice from here on out."
(Italics mine for emphasis)
Well, Automatic, I correct you on two things.
First, I have only ever published your comments to this blog verbatim. Perhaps you're writing of another blog, I'll grant you that.
Second, I take your comments quite seriously, because very soon you could be making important decisions about 60 percent of my local tax dollars.
However, it is your campaign, how you have decided to go about it, and the entire justification for your candidacy that I find worthy of ridicule. Because, madam, your politics are hateful and divisive. Incidentally, you are 100% right in calling out the howardpubliced's resident bully. This is a person who I don't think has ventured out of his house since the first Bush was President.
However, the irony here is that you, with your "Gang of Four" comments, your sycophantry of Allen Dyer, your stirring up witch hunts, your comments in public forums-- you are every bit the bully. And you play the bully card from the bottom of the deck, too.
I remain hopeful that the voters of Howard County will see through your crass, mean-spirited campaign and soundly reject your candidacy. A shame, because the Board of Education could use the perspective of an experienced teacher. But you, madam-- you are simply not that person.
So until that day in November when sanity has its moment, you can count on your buddy, good ol' MM, to be your shadow and, for that matter, your conscience.
Incidentally, I do support two candidates for the Board of Education and I will be writing further about my endorsements of them. I believe I will also be choosing to endorse a third candidate. So the tone of my comments on the BOE race will take on a more positive tone-- despite you.
