A late start to the posts of 2013 due to the fact that probably at least a few of you imbibed too much last night! Nevertheless, welcome and Happy New Year!
And the first post of 2013 is most decidedly good news. I had not heard of the homeless support organization mentioned in this article. But I aplaud this work. And really, if you read this article without being emtionally moved, you have stone for a soul.
As we bring the holiday season to a close here in the HoCo, it is always so cliche to say that "we should not overlook those less fortunate". In fact, beyond cliche-- such sayings are arrogant.
Rather, we should always have in the forefronts of our brains those who are not blessed with the gifts God somehow decided to give us. And we should, when and where we can, work toward lifting those who have less than we. This is a sentiment which transcends beyond the puny differences of politics. It is a sentiment which calls for man to treat his fellow man with kindness, love, and justice.
And on that note, we are off and running for 2013!
