We won!
Meant to write a post all day yesterday, but between having taken off on Friday and having had 3 1/2 hours sleep Sunday night, I kept alternating between tired and busy yesterday. Crashed early (but not after savoring all the Ravens love on ESPN and NFL Network I could stand) and all better today!
As always, this 2012 Ravens team never did things easy. They pounded the snot out of the San Francisco 49ers for two-plus quarters, then the lights went out at the Superdome, and when the lights came back on, the 49ers came roaring back as had been their MO during the playoffs. Still, the Ravens held off their charge to gain a 34-31 victory.
It was an incredible event and now, it's an incredible time to be in Baltimore. Today's the championship parade through downtown, and I expect the victory lap of civic pride will last for at least a few weeks. And there will be news to be had on the Ravens front. The team is likely to increase ticket prices later this month, Joe Flacco will be signed to a new contract (note, the two are not directly related!) and the team will likely release some veteran players.
In short, there ought to be enough sports news in Baltimore to last us at least until spring training is in full swing. And Baltimore will turn from purple to orange as the days get longer and warmer. Can't wait!!!

What an amazing run the Ravens had this year! An added bonus of the fact that the Ravens took us into February...Spring Training is right around the corner! :)
