So there I was Sunday afternoon, finishing a run/walk around Lake Elkhorn, down the trail to Vollmerhausen Rd. and back. About 1/4 mile from finishing, heading back to Lake Elkhorn, I see a couple walking in front of me. The man suddenly stops in front of a sign acknowledging the resumption of Lake Elkhorn dredging in June 2012, takes out his smartphone and is about to take a picture.
"Why, this fellow must not be normal, if he's getting his kicks taking photos of out of date CA dredging signs," I thought as I walked by. "Who is this poor soul?" And lo and behold, it was Wordbones himself, with Mrs. Bones, taking a jaunt around the lake.
CA's workers are obviously so busy dumping trashcans and riding around in trucks that they haven't the time for the frivolities of removing out of date dredging signs. So, get to it, CA! Lest the combined power of the HoCo blogosphere bring you to your knees. Remove the blinkin', bloody signs!!!

Hi, Bill,
Restoration work at Lake Elkhorn is still going on for the next few weeks. During this period, the staging area with be returned to its existing conditions, and the parking lot will be repaired and reopened, among other things. Any remaining signage that references the dredging will soon be removed.
Thanks!
