I'd like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding efforts of some of Howard County's high school basketball teams this season. And one of these teams isn't finished playing yet!
First, the River Hill girls basketball team, who lost to Aberdeen in the Class 3A state final.
Next, to the Oakland Mills boys basketball team, who lost last week to Calvert in the Class 2A regional final. The OM boys finished 24-1 on the season, which of course means that they went undefeated in Howard County play, often beating larger, Class 3A schools. And one of those teams they beat twice was....
Reservoir, whose boys basketball team has advanced won the Class 3A East regional final, who will now advance to the Class 3A boys final four! Terrific stuff!
Congratulations to all three teams on terrific seasons, and good luck to the Reservoir boys as they try to bring a championship back to Howard County!
