I love poking fun at this Rick Perry- Martin O'Malley "feud" over Perry's marketing the virtues of Texas to Maryland business because it is just so damn ridiculous. And I seemingly missed this article from way back last week, where our gov calls Texas' gov "all hat and no cattle." And he states that he's had experience with the man.
What sort of experience? That's what I want to know. If MTV's "Celebrity Deathmatch" ever went back onto the air, we need claymation Perry and O'Malley splitting each others' wigs. Actually, when Perry does come to down, maybe O'Malley should just bum rush the show? I'd like to see O'Malley's trooper detail get it on with the Texas Rangers too.
Anyway, onto something much more worthy of comment.
There are many great organizations in this area about which no one knows a thing. One of them is HC Drug Free. The purpose of HC Drug Free is to educate teenagers and the adults in their lives about drug and alcohol abuse. It's not to educate teenagers on how to use alcohol and drugs responsibly, as one nutjob once said to me.
So they are having a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, September 24 at 7pm at Wilde Lake High School. You can learn all about current issues regarding teen drug and alcohol use in Howard County and have your questions answered. You can learn even more about the event, including a list of speakers, by going to the HC Drug Free web site.
Happy Constitution Day! That seems pretty appropriate given Monday's events.
Let's be careful out there.
