Hello- I have been a life-long Democrat, and ever since Jon Weinstein knocked on my family's door, I followed him eagerly, especially as a fellow veteran. I recently had to move here to be closer to my children. I'm not registered to vote in HoCo, but I told a lot of people to keep an eye out for him. But, Jon Weinstein really let me down.

He was being unethical in taking money from the developer Donald Reuwer (who was sued, according to the Baltimore Sun in an archived story some years back, for misleading homebuyers).

I'm withholding my support. I like every single other person you endorsed, but I think you might have jumped the gun on this endorsement.

It's pretty clear that Jon knowingly accepted $9,000 from a single donor, and he did in such a non-transparent way that nearly every DEMOCRAT that I admire in the Assembly voted against it.

And he has the gall to tell me that it's a non-issue. When I heard him speak in April, nearly every issue that he talked about about development. I apologize, but I think he insults my intelligence if I can't see a connection.

I'm not saying that I'd for Schmidt now. I'm as blue as the sky. But if the "community-based" experience that you talked about has led Jon to talk down this way to voters and do these things, then maybe a fresh guy like Schmidt is worth a second look.
