I get that you want to be controversial for your blog, but as part of TPV, I think your characterizations of people are inaccurate and some of your statements are just plain false. TPV is not FixHoCo, who you obviously despise. The goal of TPV is to inform people about what is going on in their communities. We are a group of people who take time away from our families to go to government meetings and learn about what is being planned in the County - in development, education, etc. - with the goal of informing the public in a respectful way. I don't know anyone more informed about the issues or knowledgeable about the system than Lisa. Just because someone speaks out about inappropriate development doesn't make them anti-progress either. I got involved because I was unhappy with some of the things going on in our government. It is no surprise to me that a candidate whose platform was all about transparency, treating citizens with respect and giving them a seat at the table won the County Executive race. I also believe that the election results show that folks are unhappy with divisiveness in politics - and maybe in blogs too.
