The problem is that the BoEd foolishly hired Foose without any public opinion. She is NOT a Superintendent, she is a CEO. She spent very little time in the classroom before moving into Admin, where she found herself amid a testing scandal in MoCoPS as a Principle (or VP?) before leaving for bigger pastures elsewhere, only to reappear years later vying for HoCo or BCo Superintendent. A true Superintendent works tirelessly as a teacher before becoming admin, and then furthers their own education with a business degree before becoming Senior management> Superintendent. True Supes. know what it's really like to be in the trenches every day.

Schools are not businesses/corporations, they are in the business of teaching children what they need to know to be better citizens in the community post High School. Democratic public schools are the hallmark of America. Children and teachers are NOT human capital, they are not data points (all business practices). One cannot run schools like a business from the top down....it just doesn't work since children are not products to be sold as general goods for profit. She is running our school system as a business and it just isn't working well with students, teachers and parents. Time for a change so that she is held accountable to the taxpayers who pay her bloated salary.

And just a thought.....why is it that the Superintendent of a school district can make more money than the Governor of an entire state? Some people weren't really thinking that through?
