Unfortunately, the local board can't fire her. Statute says only the State Superintendent can. They can place her on leave with pay, though.

I just don't know where people got the idea that there is a million dollar buyout clause in her contract. It simply is not the case. NO buyout clause. The only payment discussed in the event of separation from HCPSS is 3 months of pay. That comes out to something more like $100k. No million dollar golden parachute.
