Hey kids! What do all of the following people have in common?
County Executive Allan Kittleman?
County Councilmembers Calvin Ball, Jon Weinstein and Jen Terrasa?
Board of Education members Cindy Vaillaincourt, Kirsten Coombs, and Christina Delmont-Small?
Community and education advocates Barb Krupiarz, Leslie Kornreich, Corey Andrews, Dawn Popp, Danny Mackey, Judy Fisher George, Christine McComas, and Vicky Cutroneo?
The People's Voices Lisa Markovitz?
Me?
Realtor and Republican raconteur David Yungmann?
Democratic stalwart Tom Coale?
And, last but not least, the one, the ONLY.....Julia Jackson McCready???
They are all charter members of..... THE LEGION OF PURE EVIL!!!!! A nefarious band bound together under the common mission of....uh, of....... hmmm. OK, how about this: We are all unified in hatred. Also, cronyism, white privilege (even those in the LOPE who are not 100% white!), homophobia, alcoholism, dishonesty, stupidity, right-wingedness, left-wingedness, and we all make copies of baseball games without the expressed, written consent of Major League Baseball.
Now, for real, the thing all these folks have in common is that they all have been assailed recently by an anonymous commenter on the Baltimore Sun/Howard County Times comments pages for education articles, and most recently, almost all of these people have been attacked by the moderator of the Facebook page, Howard County Hate Watch! Who, recently has been revealed to be.... former Howard County Board of Education member Ann DeLacy! What a turn of events!
Doesn't Ann realize that her political obituary has already been written? I know, cause I wrote it.
Over the past several days HoCoHaWa has really lost it. If you want to look at it, go to the FB page and check it out. Or, preferably don't, because this woman has clearly lost her marbles, what with the horrible, vile, mean, terrible, hateful things she's been spreading. I would paste some of it here, but frankly, I don't want to give that garbage direct air. I do, however, want to mention that it's going on, and to highlight the fact that not only is all of this crap foul and untrue, but that we're a much better community than this.
The best advice I can urge all of you to do for Howard County Hate Watch is this: walk away.
Let's be careful out there.

It was really nice of the previous Board to encourage the creation of a bipartisan group that worked together so well and accomplished so much.

That's strange because many of those people aren't even relevant. Tom Coale? Julia Jackson Mcready? David Youngmann? You? No need to hate on people who don't really do anything of any consequence.

Dude I can't believe you outed me on the MLB thing. I thought that was our secret!
